About Me

I come from a family of makers. At any given time, I have more projects in the works than I can count, and my hands are nearly always busy with something. I’ve been fascinated with photography since I was about eight years old, and I’ve been knitting and making quilts for just about as long. I love to try new things, especially if they are tactile in some way. Recently, I’ve been drawing, and trying to get a grip on watercolors. I also like to spin my own yarn, and dabble in collage, printmaking, and book arts.

My husband Dan and I love to cook, travel and photograph together. The two of us have taken a number of memorable trips, including India in the spring of 2012, as well as Thailand in 2008, our honeymoon to Spain and Portugal in the fall of 2002, and our trip to Italy the year before. We’ve also fit in a couple of great short trips to New Orleans in 2005 and 2007. We’re always thinking about our next adventure will be. I’m rooting for more time in Asia.
